Founded in 2011 from an idea by Simona Miraglia within the cultural association IN ARTE, Collettivo SicilyMade was conceived as an open group of young creatives, a flexible network of spaces, and a fusion of dance, theater, and visual art. The collective engages in a choreographic research process—an exploration of visions and creative imagination—starting from the only undeniable element we all possess: the body and its capacity for movement.
The collective has always been committed to promoting contemporary dance culture, with the goal of renewing the perspective on the South and fostering new synergies. Its work embraces various aspects of contemporary expression, engaging in training programs, live performance, and choreographic research.
