La compagniazappalàdanza2 (CZD2) founded in 2015 by Roberto Zappalà with the aim of creating an artistic body dedicated to the new generations of dancers, and, at the same time, capable of preserving and relaunching the historical repertoire of Compagnia Zappalà Danza.

The CZD2 company, composed of dancers selected from the MoDem Pro program, represents a fundamental resource in building a concrete bridge between training, creation and professional development. The ensemble’s work unfolds along two main directions: on one hand, the preservation and transmission of the repertoire; on the other, collaboration with emerging choreographers and the production of new creations.

The company establishes itself as a fertile professional environment where young authors can engage with high-level performers. CZD2 offers them a tangible opportunity to deepen and refine their artistic language, contributing to the development of a new generation of creators within the contemporary dance landscape.

From 2026, the co-direction is entrusted to Marco Laudani and Fernando Roldan Ferrer. In the same year, the artistic team expands with the appointment of Claudio Scalia as associate and resident choreographer.Together with Roberto Zappalà, he will contribute to shaping the project’s mission.

With this renewed structure, Scenario Pubblico confirms its ability to regenerate itself, positioning its work as a bridge between the tradition of auteur dance and the creative impulses of tomorrow.
